The Sesame Institute is a registered charity which promotes and oversees the use of Drama and Movement Therapy. The name Sesame is taken from the legendary password in the story Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves where the words 'Open Sesame!' unblock the cave entrance and reveal the treasure inside.
The Sesame Institute is delighted to announce the launch on Saturday 15th June 2013, of its new book: Dramatherapy with Myth and Fairytale: the Golden Stories of Sesame written by Jenny Pearson, Mary Smail and Pat Watts. During the afternoon ahead of the launch there will be a celebration in grateful memory of Pat, who died in 2012. This will take the form of a workshop, involving a myth enactment of one of her stories from the book. For more information click here.
